01 · Selection
Of the global universe of investments, only a handful is left after our selection. This report shows the six filters, the drop-off rate at every step and the five most common reasons for rejection. Including three anonymised files on funds that looked excellent on paper.
02 · Structure
Owning forty funds is not diversification if they all hang on the same economy. We calculated the correlations of widely used fund combinations and set the build-up of a real multi-strategy approach against them.
03 · Market
Arithmetic instead of rhetoric: savings sitting still in the holding company for years, calculated through in several scenarios, before and after costs. Not advice, but the figures you take into the conversation with your accountant.
04 · Strategy
What the strategy promises, where it fails and the three questions to put to every manager before you invest. Including the questions we asked ourselves and the answers that made us walk away.
