Finst and BOTS Capital join forces amid the MiCAR-driven consolidation of the crypto market

BOTS Capital · · 4 min read

  • BOTS Capital makes the strategic choice to stop offering direct crypto services and focuses entirely on the BOTS Selection Framework, which uses AI and big data to identify the best investment opportunities worldwide across asset classes. This strategy is now offered through three diversified multi-asset investment funds.
  • Finst and BOTS have entered an exclusive partnership, allowing up to 100,000 BOTS clients to migrate their account to Finst in one click and keep investing directly in crypto.
  • The partnership reflects the growing consolidation of the European crypto market under MiCAR, following Finst’s acquisition of competitor Anycoin Direct in 2024.

Amsterdam, 10 June 2026. Dutch investment platforms Finst and BOTS Capital today announced an exclusive strategic partnership that offers continuity to Dutch crypto investors, while the European crypto industry undergoes rapid regulatory transformation as a result of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).

As part of this strategic partnership, BOTS Capital moves from a model with direct crypto services to a regulated multi-asset structure managed through an AIFMD-licensed partner supervised by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM). Through this new structure, clients gain access to three diversified multi-asset investment funds powered by the proprietary BOTS Selection Framework, the company’s core strategic methodology for identifying, evaluating and continuously monitoring high-quality investment strategies, with a strong focus on long-term return and disciplined risk management.

At the same time, BOTS clients who want to keep investing directly in crypto assets can voluntarily migrate their account to Finst through a simple one-click transfer available in the BOTS app. This migration is entirely optional and easy to use for eligible clients.

This partnership marks another important step in the consolidation of the Dutch crypto market, following Finst’s acquisition of Anycoin Direct in 2024. The sector is adapting to increasing regulation and to growing investor demand for transparency, security and lower costs.

“Over the past few years we have built a strong community of more than 100,000 verified clients across Europe,” says Jesse Baas, Managing Director of BOTS Capital. “Investors increasingly recognise the importance of diversification across several asset classes as the market matures. This development confirms our strategic choice to focus entirely on the BOTS Selection Framework, using AI and big data to identify the best investment opportunities worldwide. At the same time we understand that many clients continue to value direct access to crypto investments through a reliable and regulated platform. That is why we found in Finst a partner that aligns closely with our vision.”

Finst was founded in 2023 by former DEGIRO managers and has grown into one of the leading crypto platforms in the Netherlands. The platform now serves 100,000 retail and institutional users across Europe. Finst recently won the prestigious Gouden Stier Awards 2025 for Best Crypto Platform of the Netherlands 2025, presented by IEX.

“After the successful acquisition of Anycoin Direct in 2024, we are proud that BOTS chose Finst as its exclusive partner for continuing direct crypto investments for its users,” says Julien Vallet, CEO and co-founder of Finst. “This partnership reflects the broader consolidation trend we see under MiCAR, where scale, transparency and regulatory readiness matter more and more.”

Clients migrating from BOTS Capital to Finst benefit from:

  • Very low trading costs of 0.15% with no additional spread
  • Access to more than 340 crypto assets and crypto bundles
  • Flexible staking with returns up to 12% APY
  • Institutional security with Proof of Reserves
  • A MiCAR-regulated and compliant crypto platform

The migration service is available to eligible BOTS clients from today.

Both companies see this partnership as part of a broader evolution within the European crypto asset sector, in which regulated platforms, investor protection, operational resilience and transparent pricing models are expected to define the next generation of market leaders.
